Today, I've written for e-mail letters using Dragon NaturallySpeaking[Professional 9]. I've made a number of errors, but as simple errors, I been able to repair them without much trouble. Thanks to being able to do this simple feat, I've not had to take one of my pain relieving pills. I sat at my computer looked at the screen and written my letters as well as I could've written them with my hands on the keyboard.

I'll have to admit, that yesterday's session of two hours pretty well wore me out. It took me half an hour to put my computer and printer back to their location. I did not get to my horticulture class until it was over. After the class we played a card game for a while and the students as well as the other instructors laughed at my project: to learn to use my computer without having my hands on the keyboard, at least for writing letters.

It will take me quite awhile, I guess, to really be proficient using this program. But for now, I am really pleased. Through your patience in me, I have learned to do a simple task that lets me rest. The pills I take cost $55 a piece; the lessons you gave me cost $100 an hour. This morning I have spent three hours on my computer answering my e-mail and writing new e-mail letters. I have not had to take a pill at all. If I get eight hours of rest for my hands and shoulders I will have saved enough money that I didn't spend on medication to pay the cost of last nights bill.

I have lots of things to do and learn to get this program to do what I needed to do. I am well on my way and I am very pleased.
